I’m Josy: a dreamer weaving Brazilian warmth into the golden fabric of Los Angeles since 2010. From Silver Lake intimate gatherings to Brentwood luxury celebrations, my mission lives in the pauses – that breath between “I do” and the cheers, the silent understanding when a corporate vision materializes.

Hello, I'm Josy's Johnson
I’m so glad you clicked on this page. It’s so important that you get to know your wedding and event planner. We will be spending a good amount of time together, planning the most important day of your life so it is important that we make a connection.
Here is a little bit about me…
You may notice an accent once we speak. I was born and raised in Brazil but now call Los Angeles home. I speak English, Portuguese and Spanish, which adds a colorful dimension to my interactions and work.
I’m originally from Brazil, where I coordinated many weddings and events in Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Maceió. However, my journey took a significant turn when I made the bold decision to move to the United States. It was here that I transformed my passion for Event Planning into a fulfilling career. I have certification in both Wedding and Event Planning from Cal State Dominguez Hills and Floral Design from Golden West College.
These certifications paired with hands-on experience and eye for design give me a unique set of skills that make every wedding a perfect production.
I now reside in LA – Orange County with my beloved dog Belo and husband Tom. Together, we’re proud parents to our son, Gustavo and our beautiful daughter in law, Chelsea.
In addition to Josy’s Events I also own A Beautiful California Florist, located in Long Beach California, where I create custom floral pieces and designs for my clients.
When I’m not immersed in the world of events and flowers, you’ll find me dancing, cooking, baking, traveling, lost in the pages of a good book, catching up with friends, or simply savoring life’s moments with a cup of coffee in hand.
